Hi there and welcome to my website, I am Ben aka… Jaminsax!

I am an Alto Saxophonist based in Portsmouth, Hampshire with a passion for entertaining and getting you on the dance floor through the power of music.

Jaminsax currently holds a bi-weekly residency at Southsea Brunch Klub (SBK) where I can be found playing a wide variety of genres, meaning there is always something for everyone to get up and dance along to. As well as my current residency, I also can also be found playing at festivals, weddings, corporate events, private parties and bars around the south of England.

Club classics such as “Gala – Freed From Desire”, pop hits such as “Bruno Mars – Uptown Funk” and even the odd Indie Anthem like “Kings of Leon – Use Somebody” are typical examples of the variety of songs and genres that can be performed to get those bums off those seats and onto their feet at your event.

Prior to Jaminsax, I played for a number of cover and original material bands. I was lucky enough to have had the pleasure of touring the UK and Europe with Dorset based band, “Bare Jams” where we supported some well know names such Terry Hall and the Specials, The Whalers as well as performing at many of the UK and Europe’s music festivals.

In June 2023 I was asked by a local DJ if I would consider making a switch from bands and consider playing along to house music at a local event and from that day on, Jaminsax was born and a love for all things DJ and Sax took over. In the Summer of 2023, I had the privilege of supporting 90’s Club Legends “N-Trance” who released their club classic “Set You Free” back in 1995. This is definitely one of the highlights of my passion so far and getting to meet and spend time with the act backstage was an absolute honour.
